Christians in Theatre Arts to Host 2 Theatre Festivals for School Students
Christians in Theatre Arts will hold two Secondary School Theatre Festivals in 2015 and early 2016. The festivals give high school theatre students an opportunity to sharpen their skills through competitions, to interact with colleges and audition or interview for scholarships and programs, and to be encouraged by Christians working in the theatre.
The festivals' dates and locations are: Azusa Pacific University, Azusa, California, Oct. 29-31; and Woodland Park Baptist Church, Chatanooga, Tennessee, Jan. 28-30, 2016. Guest artists at the festivals are Debra Stipe at Azusa Pacific University and Emerson Steele at Woodland Baptist.
The festival features solo, duo and ensemble competitions for musicals and dramas. New this year is a focus on theatrical design, including scenic, lighting, props, costumes and sound design. For more details, visit CITA's website.
