- Leathers' Script Wins Play Contest at Biennial Festival in New York
Michael Leathers was one of 10 writers who won the biennial 10-minute playwrighting contest sponsored by the College of Brockport - State University of New York. The college's Department of Theatre will produce his script, "Ten Minutes," along with the nine other winning entries at Festival of Ten VI on Feb.27-March 1 and March 5-7, 2009. "Ten Minutes" is about two men attending a 10-minute play festival who realize they are fictional characters in one of those plays. One wants to see what life is like offstage while the other wants to follow the script the way the writer intended.
